Ashikur Rahaman

Textile Engineer | Yarn Engineering Specialist

I am a Textile Engineering graduate specializing in Yarn Engineering, with practical industrial exposure to knit composite and garment manufacturing. My areas of interest include production monitoring, quality control, batch tracking, process analysis, technical reporting, and continuous improvement. I have completed two industrial internships and contributed to three textile research publications, which strengthened my research, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities. My academic project on sustainable antibacterial treatment of bamboo-cotton blended yarn further developed my knowledge of textile innovation and sustainable processing. Alongside my technical background, my experience as a Class Representative has enhanced my leadership, communication, teamwork, and coordination skills. I am motivated to build a career in the textile industry where I can apply my knowledge, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to production efficiency, product quality, and organizational growth.

Predictive Modeling of Tearing Strength in Laser-Engraved Denim Garments Using Multiple Linear Regression

Rahaman, A., Khalil, E., Miah, M. H., Ahmed, S., Hossen, A., & Khatun, S.

Developed an MLR model to predict denim tearing strength with high accuracy (R² = 0.9967 warp, 0.9911 weft), aiding optimization of laser engraving parameters.

Optimization of Nozzle Air Pressure for Enhanced Quality and Efficiency in CVC Yarn Production using Murata Vortex Spinning

Khalil, E., Rafi, M. F., Reza, M. S., Sourov, M. I. A., Islam, M. T., Hossain, M. S., Rony, N., Zico, S. I., & Rahaman, A.

Investigated the effect of air-nozzle pressure on 34 Ne CVC yarn produced using Murata Vortex Spinning (MVS 870). Identified 0.50 MPa as the optimal nozzle pressure, achieving the highest yarn tenacity (15.72 cN/tex), lowest unevenness (10.25%), and the best balance between yarn quality, waste generation, and energy efficiency.
